Updating the Inspector Tracking Sheet

  • Schedule inspections directly with the insured or listed contact.

  • Update the tracking sheet as you go, including scheduled dates and any access issues.

  • The tracking sheet is the office’s primary visibility tool.

Dress Code & Professional Expectations

  • Inspectors represent William E. Casey Insurer Services, Inc.

  • ID badges must be worn and visible.

  • Maintain a clean, professional appearance with appropriate footwear.

  • Use a professional email signature and carry business cards when provided.

  • Always use respectful, neutral language.

Background Checks

  • Inspectors may be required to successfully complete a background check prior to receiving

    assignments.

  • Background checks help ensure professionalism, safety, and trust when interacting with insureds.

  • Any findings that could impact eligibility for inspection work must be disclosed to the office.

  • Failure to comply with background check requirements may result in delayed or suspended

    assignments.

Escalated Situations

  • Remain calm and professional at all times.

  • Do not argue, speculate, or discuss insurance coverage.

  • If a situation escalates, leave the property if necessary and notify the office immediately.

Conducting the Inspection

  • Begin with a full exterior walkthrough followed by the interior.

  • Inspection scope varies by property and inspection type.

  • Refer to the Training Guide for detailed inspection requirements.

  • Obtain relevant information on site or by phone and document accurately.

Photos

  • Take clear, well-lit photos documenting multiple areas of the property.

  • Photos must support the report and clearly show conditions and hazards.

  • One clear photo is better than multiple unclear images.

Uploading Photos to Dropbox

  • Upload photos immediately after the inspection.

  • Photos must be JPEG format and high resolution.

  • Ensure photos are uploaded to the correct property folder.

Completing the Report

  • Access the report using the link on the Inspector Tracking Sheet.

  • Complete all required sections fully and accurately.

  • Review for clarity and consistency before submitting.

Hazards

  • Clearly identify hazards and support them with photos.

  • Document conditions factually without offering opinions.

  • When unsure, document clearly and allow the office to classify.
